Introduction & Best Practice

These features enable you to design, configure, and manage professional barcode labels for your products with complete control over format, layout, and information display. Users need to create their first barcode template, and the corresponding SKU codes must be generated.

Step-by-step guide

Navigate to the Barcode > Dashboard from the left sidebar menu

Navigate to the Barcode > Manage Templates from the left sidebar menu

If no templates exist, you'll see a landing page with setup instructions

Click "Get Started" to begin

Or users can click "+ New Template" to create a new template.

Fill out all the information on the page:

  • Template Name - Enter a descriptive name for your template (e.g., "Euro Template")
    • Selecting the right label theme ensures that your barcode labels are both functional and visually aligned with your operational or branding needs.

      • Default barcode : This theme provides a classic barcode-only layout with minimal additional information.
      • Product label : This theme includes a detailed layout with additional product information.
      • Simple label : This theme offers a balanced layout with essential product information.
      • Compact label : This theme is designed for small-sized labels with limited space.

On the right side of the screen, the Label Preview section provides a real-time visualization of your selected theme.
    • Select your barcode type.
      • Code 128 : Creates barcodes with letters, numbers, and symbols - any combination.
      • EAN-13 : Creates the standard 13-digit barcode.
      • Code 39 : Creates simple barcodes with numbers, capital letters, and basic symbols.
      • UPC-A : Creates the standard 12-digit barcode.
      • Code 39 : A simple and easy-to-read barcode format.
      • GTIN-14 (ITF-14) : A barcode format designed for packaging and logistics.

    Barcode Format Information

    • Character limits (minimum and maximum length)
    • Supported character sets
    • Prefix/suffix options
    • Example barcode values
    • Usage recommendations
This helps you understand the technical constraints and ensures that your selected format matches your requirements.
    • Choose your Generation method: manual or sequential.

Fill out all the style label information on the page based on the selected barcode type.

      For example (Code 128):

      • Type the "Start Number" and the "End Number".

This feature allows users to preview barcode values before finalizing the configuration.

      • Enter the count (number of samples to generate)
      • Click Test to see a preview of generated barcode numbers

The barcode numbers will appear under this section.

      • Click the "Barcode Prefix" field and type any prefix you want to add before the barcode number (optional)
      • Click the "Barcode Suffix" field and type any suffix you want to add after the barcode number (optional)
      • Select the barcode length (e.g., click "13" for 13-digit format)

        Use the toggle to:
        • Activate Template: Turn on “Template is active” to make the template available for use.

        • Show Barcode Number: Turn on “Show barcode number” to display the barcode value (text).
        • Click "Select label dimensions" to open the size options
        • Choose your preferred size or select the custom size to define the exact dimensions of your barcode label to match your printing needs.

         For example: "Custom Size"

Select the dimension unit (e.g., cm)

        • Enter width and height based on your label size
          • Enter font size based on your label size
          • The label information will be automatically filled with default values.
          • Users can customize the label by selecting which fields they want to display on the barcode label.
          • Drag items between lines to organize your label layout.
          • Click and drag an item from one line to another line to rearrange or drag the item off the label layout area to remove.
          • Click “Reset to Default” to restore the label information to the system’s original default.
