Style Category – Admin Setup
This article outlines best practices for setting up and using style categories in Vestis Labs to support clear classification and improved organisation of your styles throughout the product development process.
Introduction & Best Practice
Style categories in Vestis Labs help organise styles into meaningful groups, creating structure and ensuring clarity across your workflows. By assigning categories—such as tops, bottoms, outerwear, accessories, or footwear—you enable a logical grouping of styles that enhances filtering, reporting, and collaboration between teams.
Step-by-step guide
Users can create a style category in two ways:
- Through the style category page.
- Through the style page.
Through the style page
Create Style Category
Navigate to Collection & Style > Style.
Users can create a category when creating a new style in the Style category section or when updating or editing a style on the Main Style Details page.
- Click the '+ Style Category' button - a Create style category.
- Style Category' Name - *mandatory
- Click the 'Add' icon to create the style category.

- Through the dropdown, three dots to select an action to delete the selected category.

Through the style category page
Navigate to Settings > Collection & Style. Select Style Category.

- Click the '+ New' button - a Create category status Page will show up.

- Style category name - *mandatory
- Click the 'save' icon to finish

Edit Style Category
The created Style Category will be displayed and can be managed on the Style Category Page. The Style Category Page stores all the information related to the Style Category created in the Collection & Style Settings.
- To change the style category - Click on the 'pen' icon to set the style category to edit mode
- The page will be in edit mode
- Click the 'save' icon to finish

- Select the 'trash' icon to remove the selected Style Category from Vestis Labs.
