Style Attributes – Admin Setup

This article outlines best practices for setting up and using style attributes in Vestis Labs to support consistent structuring, classification, and enhanced data organisation across all styles.

Introduction & Best Practice

Style attributes in Vestis Labs help define key characteristics of your styles, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment throughout your product development workflow. By assigning attributes—such as product group, fit, material type, gender, or target region—you create structured data that improves filtering, reporting, and collaboration across teams.

While style attributes are optional, using them is highly recommended to support scalability and maintain well-organised style data as your assortment grows. Clear attribute definitions in Admin ensure consistent use, improve searchability, and streamline development processes for all users.
Step-by-step guide

Users can create a Style Attribute Master in two ways:

  1. Through the Style Attribute page.
  2. Through the Create Style page.

Create Style Attribute

Through the Style Attribute page

Navigate to Settings > Collection & Style. Select Style Attribute.

  • Click the '+ New' button - a Create style attribute Page will show up.
  • Style attribute name - *mandatory
  • Select attribute in Digital ID:

If you choose "Yes" - this attribute will be shown on your Digital ID.
If you choose "No" - this attribute will not be shown on your Digital ID.

  • Click the 'save' icon to finish
Edit Style attribute
  • To change the style attribute - Click on the 'pen' icon to set the style attribute to edit mode
  • The page will be in edit mode
  • Click the green 'save' icon to finish

View style attribute

This means that when you want to create a new Style Attribute, you must first choose an Attribute Master (a main category or grouping). After selecting the appropriate Attribute Master, you can add a style Attribute to that group.

  • Select an action for the selected attribute. Select View Attributes
  • Click the '+ New' button - a Create Style Attribute Page will show up under the selected Main Attribute style.
  • Style attributes name - *mandatory
  • Click the 'save' icon to finish

Through the Main Style page.

Navigate to the Attribute Section in the Main Style Page and you can do this when you create the style or update/edit the style. See: Create Style page.

  • Add Attributes - to create a new attribute.
  • Click the '+ New' button - a Create style Attribute Page will show up under the selected Main Attribute style.
  • style Attribute Master Name - *mandatory
  • style attribute Name - *mandatory
  • Click the 'Add' icon to finish

Nb: Users can create and assign multiple Style Attributes to a Style.
