Introduction & Best Practice

Dimension settings in Vestis Labs allow you to define and manage the measurement types used throughout your styles, materials, and technical specification workflows. By configuring dimensions—such as length, width, height, thickness, weight, or volume units—you create a clear and standardised framework that ensures consistency when documenting product specifications and comparing item variations.


While dimension settings are optional, using them is highly recommended to support scalability and maintain a well-structured measurement system as your product and material libraries grow.
Step-by-step guide

Create New Dimension 

Navigate to Settings > Library. Select Dimension.
  • Click the '+ New' button - a Dimension Page will show up.
  • Dimension name - *mandatory
  • Description - additional information related to the dimension that represents the product.
  • Click the 'save' icon to finish

Edit Dimension 

The created dimension settings will be displayed and can be managed on the Dimension Settings Page. This page stores all information related to the dimension elements configured in the Dimension Settings section.

  • To change the dimension - Click on the 'pen' icon to set the dimension to edit mode
  • The page will be in edit mode
  • Click the 'save' icon to finish 
  • Select the trash icon to remove the selected dimension from Vestis Labs.
